Ikebukuro is one of Tokyo's major commercial and entertainment centers, rivaling Shinjuku and Shibuya in scale. The area around Ikebukuro Station is dominated by two massive department stores - Seibu on the east side and Tobu on the west - making it a shopping paradise.
