About Shiodome汐留について
Shiodome is a modern business and entertainment district built on the former site of the original Shimbashi Station, Japan's first railway terminus. The area was redeveloped in the early 2000s with gleaming skyscrapers housing major corporations like Dentsu and Nippon Television.
Despite its corporate appearance, Shiodome offers excellent attractions for visitors. The Caretta Shiodome complex has diverse restaurants and a spectacular winter illumination. Adjacent Hamarikyu Gardens, a beautifully preserved Edo-era garden on Tokyo Bay, provides a peaceful contrast to the towering buildings.
